Obama revealed his plan for Afghanistan yesterday. As expected, conservative talking heads immediately branded it as just shy of treason while liberals howled that we are continuing an evil unnecessary war (I take apart Michael Moore on this subject here).
My feeling is that he’s made the right decision. More troops and better strategy, but not an open-ended eternal commitment to some nebulous goal of nation-building. But I’d love to hear commentary.
Update: Moveon is pissed off. That must mean it’s the right thing to do.
Update: Oh, and Chris Matthews needs to be beaten with reeds. WTF, Chris? He’s their Commander in Chief, not their enemy.
